I Went To The Crossroads - known technically as the Roots programme at 10pm on Sunday nights Crossroads has a strict playlist policy. It has to be good*. Other than that it's in.
Blues, cajun, soul, salsa, americana, latin music generally, a bit of folk, some rock, most things from New Orleans, tiny bits of jazz (no, the other sort), a soupcon of country and western if not too flamboyant, modern stuff, African and occasionally musica from countries further afield.
* Sometimes though, I'll play a record if it has a really funny title - I've probably known Old Ronnie too long.

What about me? Old and In The Way, opinionated, but I love what I play.
So basically what do you call it? I don't know - roots will do.
Sometimes there's a theme or just one type of music - blues, Chess Records, songs with numbers in the title, songs about drinking - just an excuse really.
Listen - you'll like it, I promise.
Enjoy Yourself
